Polyvalente Arvida Placed Under Partial Lockdown Following Stabbing Incident

École polyvalente Arvida was placed under partial lockdown Tuesday morning after a student was injured in an assault involving a weapon. Saguenay Police Service (SPS) responded to the scene around 8:40 AM.

According to the SPS, the suspect, also a student at the school, was quickly located and apprehended by officers. Both students involved are minors, confirmed SPS spokesperson Dominic Gagnon.

Victim Receiving Medical Attention

The injured student was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have stated that their life is not currently in danger.
