Eagles News: A.J. Brown’s Future, Offensive Coordinator Change & NFL Updates

A.J. Brown Remains Optimistic About His Future with the Philadelphia Eagles

Despite some speculation surrounding his long-term future with the team, Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown has expressed enthusiasm about continuing his career in Philadelphia, potentially through 2026. Appearing on Micah Parsons’ “The Edge” podcast, Brown voiced excitement about the upcoming season and the potential of the Eagles offense under a new offensive coordinator.

“Sometimes change is not a bad thing,” Brown stated. He acknowledged his respect for former OC Kevin Patullo, praising his work ethic and character, but emphasized his eagerness for the changes to come. This comes after a season where Brown publicly expressed frustrations with his usage in the offense.

Eagles Seek Offensive Revival with New Coordinator

The Eagles moved on from Kevin Patullo following a disappointing 2024 campaign that ended in a Wild Card exit. Sean Mannion has been brought in to revitalize an offense that reached the Super Bowl the previous year. Brown’s inconsistent usage resulted in 78 receptions for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns, a performance that, while solid, didn’t fully live up to expectations.

General Manager Howie Roseman remained noncommittal about Brown’s future during his end-of-season press conference, but continued to highlight the receiver’s value as a three-time Pro Bowler. Brown, 28, is still capable of the dominant form he displayed in his first two seasons with the Eagles, where he consistently surpassed 1,400 receiving yards.

“As an offense, we just come back and just really watch the tape and, like said earlier, rediscover ourselves and got to work each and every day,” Brown said. “Being accountable and take it one day at a time. We have a great leaders in our locker room and I’m fortunate to be a part of that, especially on offense. We do have a lot of talent, but talent gets us nowhere.”
