A Routine Flight Turns Into a Mid-Air Nightmare
What started as a standard journey from Newark to Canada quickly spiraled into a scene of chaos and terror. Air Canada Flight AC7664, operated by its regional partner PAL Airlines, was en route from Newark Liberty International Airport to Halifax, Nova Scotia, when a sudden medical emergency in the cockpit put 61 passengers and crew in a fight for their lives.

Passenger Rodney McDonald, who witnessed the crisis from the front of the plane, described the moments of panic as the aircraft began to behave erratically. According to McDonald, the flight began swerving violently, prompting flight attendants to rush into the cockpit in a state of frenzy.
In a desperate attempt to maintain control of the aircraft, crew members and passengers had to intervene. McDonald recounted the struggle to restrain the pilot:

While passengers acted instinctively to save the flight, medical experts suggest a different approach for seizures. Instead of holding a person down—which can cause further injury—it is recommended to clear the area of sharp objects and gently turn the person on their side to keep the airway clear.
