The theme for the 2026 celebration, “Building on the Promise of Freedom for All,” emphasizes the importance of progress and unity. Juneteenth is not just a look back at history, but a celebration of the diverse cultural heritage that shapes our nation today.
A Day of Entertainment and Education
The festivities kick off at noon with a powerful presentation of the colors, official proclamations, and special awards. Attendees can expect an immersive experience with a variety of highlights:

- Living History: Experience history come to life with captivating performances by Ms. Story (Shemika Renee), who brings legendary women from the past into the present.
- Live Music & Dance: Feel the rhythm with Ni Dembaya African Dance and Drumming, along with energetic sets from Stone Pleasure and Get2Gether.
- Community Spirit: Join D.J. Errol Wyatt and the “Keep On Steppin” seniors for an interactive R&B line dancing session that will get everyone on their feet!
