The NCIS franchise is continuing its impressive expansion with the announcement of NCIS: New York, slated to premiere during the 2026-27 television season. Where and When to Watch
NCIS: New York is scheduled to air on Tuesdays, strategically positioned between the flagship NCIS series and the prequel, NCIS: Origins. NCIS: Sydney will take over the timeslot previously held by NCIS: Origins at midseason. This placement ensures maximum exposure for the new series and caters to the loyal NCIS audience.
LL Cool J’s Expanding Role in the Franchise
This new spinoff marks the third NCIS series where LL Cool J will be a regular cast member, following his successful run on NCIS: Los Angeles and a guest appearance in the final season of NCIS: Hawai’i in 2024. He’s also slated to make guest appearances on the original NCIS on April 21st and 28th, further cementing his connection to the franchise.
