Over 1,000 sailors, Marines, and Coast Guard personnel are expected to visit, fostering a strong connection between the military and the local community.

A History Delayed, A Celebration Renewed

Originally scheduled for November 5-12 of last year, Fleet Week Houston was postponed due to a federal government shutdown. While the initial timing would have coincided with the 250th birthdays of the Navy and Marine Corps, the rescheduled date now aligns with the 250th anniversary of the United States’ founding, adding an extra layer of historical significance to the event.

• Wreath Laying Ceremonies: Seven ceremonies will be held throughout the week, honoring the service and sacrifice of those who have served. Dates include April 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 21st.
