Lorenz Larkin Withdraws from MVP MMA 1, Ronda Rousey Fight Card Affected
A significant change has occurred in the upcoming Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) MMA event, set to stream live on Netflix. Veteran fighter Lorenz Larkin (27-8) has announced his withdrawal from his scheduled bout against former Bellator champion Jason Jackson (19-6) due to a knee injury. This leaves a gap in the fight card for the May 16th event at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Larkin shared the news via Instagram Stories, expressing his regret to fans and stating his commitment to rehabilitation. “I’m sorry to all the fans but I had to pull out of the Netflix card due to knee injury,” Larkin wrote. “Will be rehabing it back to 100% and will be back.”. His last fight was a first-round loss to Vanilto Antunes in Karate Combat last December, ending a three-fight winning streak.
Impact on the MVP MMA 1 Lineup
Jackson’s next opponent remains uncertain as MVP assesses options. The event is still headlined by the highly anticipated clash between MMA legend Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, a fight that has generated considerable buzz within the combat sports community. The return of Ronda Rousey to the ring is a major draw for fans, and the event promises to be a thrilling showcase of mixed martial arts talent.
