Prior to joining the Warriors, Cryer spent three seasons with Baylor, contributing to their 2021 National Championship victory. He then transferred to Houston for his final two collegiate seasons. Throughout his college career, spanning 147 games, he maintained averages of 13.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, while shooting 42.7% from the field and 41.3% from three-point range.
