More than 700,000 Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue saute pans have been voluntarily recalled due to a serious safety concern. The recall, announced by E Mishan & Sons, affects pans sold at Costco, Walmart, and Amazon, posing a potential burn and impact hazard to consumers.
What’s the Problem?
According to a notice published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall stems from reports of the metal cap on the screw connecting the saute pan handle detaching when heated. This detachment can forcefully eject the cap, creating a risk of impact injuries and burns. At least 98 incidents have been reported, including one resulting in bruising and burn injuries to a consumer.
