Significant Leadership Changes Announced for 2026

During the Saturday afternoon session of the April 2026 conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a series of important leadership announcements were made, including the calling of a new Primary General Presidency and eight new General Authority Seventies. He encouraged those struggling with life’s burdens to intentionally keep the Savior with them through daily worship and repentance. Elder Wan-Liang Wu of the Seventy emphasized that coming unto Christ is more than just learning about Him; it’s a relationship built on faith and works.

Elder Brian J. Holmes of the Seventy reminded listeners that life is not always easy, but that the Savior is the path to eternal life. Elder Clement M. Matswagothata of the Seventy testified that Jesus Christ remembers and knows everyone by name, and that the most important name we can receive is the sacred name of Jesus Christ.
