Alaska Airlines Soars to New Heights with Premium International Business Class & Global Expansion
Alaska Airlines is redefining long-haul travel with the debut of its all-new International Business Class, launching this spring. This significant milestone marks a major step in Alaska’s transformation into the West Coast’s premier global carrier, connecting travelers to over 900 destinations worldwide through the oneworld® alliance.
A New Era of Comfort and Luxury
Designed for the discerning traveler, Alaska’s new International Business Class, featured on brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, prioritizes comfort and the airline’s signature West Coast warmth. The experience boasts private lie-flat suites, elevated dining options, and premium lounge access, setting a new standard for international travel.
“We set out to design a Business Class experience that is both sophisticated and authentically Alaska: premium, comfortable and thoughtfully created for our guests,” says Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer of Alaska Airlines. “When we debut our new product this spring, it will raise the bar and redefine long-haul travel, while continuing to deliver the remarkable care that sets Alaska apart on the global stage.”
Beyond Business Class: Enhanced Comfort for All
Alaska Airlines is committed to providing a comfortable journey for all passengers. Both International Premium Class and Main Cabin guests will enjoy complimentary meals, plush Filson blankets, and pillows. International Premium Class offers four extra inches of legroom, power outlets, 12-inch HD screens, complimentary alcoholic beverages, and a curated amenity kit by Filson.
Expanding Horizons: New Routes to Europe and Asia
The launch of the new Business Class coincides with Alaska’s expansion into Europe and Asia. New nonstop service from Seattle to Rome begins April 28th, followed by London on May 21st and Reykjavík, Iceland on May 28th. Flights to Seoul will commence in April, and Tokyo this fall. Service to Reykjavík’s Keflavík International Airport will be operated on a 737 MAX 8 with a tailored premium experience.
