Is SNL New Tonight? The Wait is (Almost) Over!
If you’re tuning in hoping for a fresh dose of sketch comedy, the answer is no – Saturday Night Live is currently on a short break. But don’t worry, comedy fans! A brand new episode is just around the corner, and it’s bringing a double dose of ‘Jack’ power.
When Will SNL Return with New Episodes?
Mark your calendars! A new episode of NBC’s Emmy-winning Saturday Night Live is scheduled to air on April 4th. For now, a previously aired episode will fill the usual timeslot. But the wait will be worth it!
Meet Your Hosts: Jack Black and Jack White
Get ready for a Jack-on-Jack takeover! Actor and comedian Jack Black, riding high from the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, will be taking the stage as host. He’s reprising his iconic role as Bowser, and we can expect some hilarious antics. Joining him is musical guest Jack White, a seasoned SNL performer who will be gracing Studio 8H for his sixth time.
Jack White’s Milestone Achievement
This appearance is particularly special for Jack White. He’s set to be inducted into the show’s prestigious “Five-Timers Club” – a group reserved for hosts who have graced the SNL stage five or more times. He first appeared on the show in October 2002 as part of The White Stripes, and has consistently delivered memorable performances.
What’s Happening During the Hiatus?
While we wait for the return of live episodes, SNL is keeping the laughs coming with new installments of its short-form digital series, “The Rundown.” This series features current and former cast members brainstorming and crafting the perfect SNL episode. New episodes drop every Wednesday through mid-June.
How to Watch SNL
