Police Respond to Incident at Haney Place Mall in Maple Ridge

Maple Ridge, BC – March 26, 2026 – Police are urging the public to avoid the area surrounding Haney Place Mall as officers respond to a developing situation. The Ridge Meadows RCMP confirmed they are “handling” a police incident at the shopping centre located near 224 Street and Lougheed Highway.

Around 6:00 a.m. this morning, Mounties issued a public advisory via social media requesting people stay away from the mall. Reports from social media users indicate the presence of police barricades around the perimeter.

As of 8:30 a.m., police have stated that “all ‘activity’ has subsided,” and the RCMP is maintaining a presence at the scene “out of an abundance of caution.” Further details are expected to be released shortly.
