John Krasinski Returns in ‘Jack Ryan: Ghost War’ on Prime Video

A Legacy Continues: The Jack Ryan Franchise

Ghost War marks the sixth installment in the long-running Jack Ryan franchise, based on the iconic character created by the prolific author Tom Clancy. The character’s journey on screen began with Alec Baldwin in 1990’s The Hunt for Red October. Harrison Ford then took on the mantle in Patriot Games (1992) and Clear and Present Danger (1994), delivering memorable performances. Ben Affleck stepped into the role in 2002’s The Sum of All Fears, and Chris Pine rebooted the franchise in 2014 with Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Krasinski successfully brought the character to the streaming era in 2019, and now continues the story with this exciting new film.

Behind the Scenes

Andrew Bernstein, a seasoned director with credits including House, Mad Men, The Americans, and Ozark, helms Ghost War. The screenplay is a collaboration between Aaron Rabin and John Krasinski, based on a story developed by Krasinski and Noah Oppenheim. The film is a production of Paramount Pictures, Skydance Media, Genre Arts, Push Boot, and Sunday Night Productions, and will be distributed by Amazon MGM Studios.
