STM Bus Collision Claims Life in Montreal-Nord

Montreal, QC – March 10, 2026 – A tragic incident occurred Saturday evening in Montreal’s Montreal-Nord borough, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old woman. According to Montreal police, an SUV collided with the rear of a Société de transport de Montréal (STM) bus near the intersection of Henri-Bourassa Blvd. and Salk Ave. just before 5:50 p.m.

The STM bus was stationary at a bus stop when the impact occurred. The woman, a passenger in the SUV, was rushed to hospital in critical condition but sadly succumbed to her injuries. The 29-year-old driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries. Thankfully, no passengers on the bus were harmed in the collision.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
