Hamilton residents can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the city transitions away from frigid temperatures and towards more spring-like conditions. A cold weather alert, recently issued, has been cancelled as temperatures are set to climb throughout the week.
Monday will see sunny skies and a high of -2°C, dipping to a low of -7°C overnight, according to Environment Canada. However, the real change begins on Tuesday, with temperatures rising above zero. Expect a high of 1°C on Tuesday, with a slight chance of light snow or freezing rain in the afternoon.
Wednesday will continue the warming trend, reaching a high of 2°C with a chance of rain. But the most significant shift arrives on Thursday, with a high of 6°C and more rainfall. This pattern continues into the weekend, with double-digit temperatures and further rain expected.
This welcome change in Hamilton weather is a much-needed respite after a prolonged cold snap. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the milder temperatures, but to remain prepared for wet conditions. The Waterfront Trail along Lake Ontario, near Confederation Park, is a great place to enjoy the improving weather.
