Julie Bélanger’s Frightening Night: A Health Update

Julie Bélanger experienced a scare last night, spending the evening at the hospital. The beloved Quebec personality shared the news with her followers via Instagram Stories, revealing she had to miss the celebration for the 400th episode of Ça finit bien la semaine.

The television host didn’t disclose specific details about her health concern, but assured her audience that “the worst has been ruled out,” though further testing is required. She expressed her gratitude for the swift and reassuring care she received at Notre-Dame Hospital.

In a heartfelt message, Bélanger wrote: “Yesterday was supposed to be a night of celebration – the party for the 400th episode of Ça finit bien la semaine. 16 seasons, my 13th on this wonderful set. Unfortunately, I missed the party, spending the evening at the hospital under observation. A health issue that frightened me. Ultimately, the worst is ruled out, but I have more tests to undergo soon. Thank you to the staff at Notre-Dame Hospital for the reassuring and efficient care, and thank you Gino Chouinard for stepping in alongside Jean-Michel Anctil at the last minute. We know that health is the most precious thing we have. I will try to remember that.”

She also shared a photo taken on set just hours before the incident, a poignant reminder of the unexpected turns life can take.

Bélanger’s colleagues and fans have flooded social media with messages of support and well wishes. Gino Chouinard graciously stepped in to co-host with Jean-Michel Anctil, demonstrating the strong camaraderie within the Ça finit bien la semaine team.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing health. We wish Julie Bélanger a speedy recovery and send her our best!
