Eva Marcille on a Potential Return to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’
This week on Getting Real With the Housewives, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille addressed the burning question on fans’ minds: would she ever consider returning to the Bravo franchise? The answer, as with many things in reality television, isn’t a simple yes or no.
“I never say never, but I’m looking into scripted,” the 41-year-old actress exclusively told Us Weekly. “That’s my joy and my businesses and my babies.” Despite her departure, Marcille remains a fan of the show. “I am a fan, I must say, I do watch. I love it.”
Leaving RHOA Behind
Eva announced her exit from RHOA in 2020 after three seasons. At the time, she released a statement explaining her decision: “After speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities.”
Marcille initially joined the Bravo reality series as a friend of the Housewives during season 10, which premiered in November 2017. Her popularity quickly grew, leading to a promotion to full-time Housewife status the following year. She continued as a main cast member for seasons 12 and 13.
Current Projects: ‘Pushed Off a Plane and Survived’
Currently, Eva is promoting her new Lifetime movie, Pushed Off a Plane and Survived. She expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Lifetime does a beautiful job at finding stories that are ripped from the headlines. And as an actor, art depicts life and so what yummier story to tell than a real life story. To be pushed from a plane, I mean, who could imagine?”
The film explores a compelling theme: “what do you do for love?” Marcille believes the story is captivating and offers a unique perspective on the lengths people will go to for those they care about.
Thoughts on the Current RHOA Landscape
Despite her departure, Eva remains supportive of the show and its cast. “I just love to see the girls keep juking and keep going,” she shared with Us Weekly. “I believe that it is a representation that needs to be had. It is a real representation and I love that Atlanta just keeps doing its thing.”
For now, Eva Marcille is focused on her acting career and family, but she hasn’t completely ruled out a future return to the world of Real Housewives. Only time will tell if she’ll grace our screens again as a peach-holding Housewife.
