Connor Storrie Ready to Shine as SNL Host

Actor Connor Storrie is gearing up for his first time hosting Saturday Night Live this week, and a new promo reveals he’s bringing his exceptional talent – particularly his knack for accents – to the iconic stage. Storrie first gained widespread recognition for his role as Ilya Rozanov in the popular series Heated Rivalry, where his convincing Russian accent captivated audiences.

Accent Duel: Storrie Showcases His Range

The promo clip features Storrie alongside SNL cast members Ashley Padilla and Marcelo Hernandez, reminiscing about Heated Rivalry. Padilla jokingly credits Storrie for her dehydration during filming, to which he playfully replies, “You’re welcome.” The conversation quickly turns to Storrie’s impressive accent work.

A hilarious “accent duel” ensues with cast member James Austin Johnson, challenging Storrie to a Western-style showdown of vocal mimicry. The duo tackles a diverse range of accents, including German (complete with Storrie chugging a beer!), Cajun, French, even Shrek and the Na’vi language from Avatar. A request for a Jamaican accent is politely declined by both, with Storrie expressing caution, stating, “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

When prompted to deliver his signature Russian accent, Storrie delivers a memorable line: “When you get to Hell, tell them Rozanov sent you.”

SNL’s ‘Heated Rivalry’ Spoof & Upcoming Music Guest

SNL previously parodied Heated Rivalry upon its midseason return, featuring host Finn Wolfhard and cast member Ben Marshall in a sketch titled “Heated Wizardry,” a clever send-up of the Harry Potter universe.

Storrie’s hosting gig will be accompanied by a performance from Mumford & Sons, who will be promoting their new album, Prizefighter, set for release on February 20th. You can learn more about Mumford & Sons on their official website.

Saturday Night Live is a Broadway Video production in association with creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels. For more information on the show and its history, visit the official SNL website.

Connor Storrie’s debut promises a night of laughter and impressive performances. Keep an eye out for his episode of SNL!
