A tragic incident has shaken the community of Tipp City, Ohio, as 37-year-old Ashley Flynn was found deceased in her home following a reported burglary. Authorities have launched a full homicide investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

On Monday at approximately 2:30 a.m., Tipp City Police Department officers responded to a call reporting a burglary in progress at a residence on the 900 block of Cunningham Court. The call indicated a resident had been shot. Upon arrival, officers encountered Flynn’s husband and two children inside the home. Sadly, Ashley Flynn was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police immediately secured the area and initiated a search for potential suspects. A perimeter was established, and police canines and drones were deployed to aid in the search. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended.

Ashley Flynn was a well-respected member of the Tipp City community, serving as a substitute teacher for Tipp City Schools and the volleyball coach at Tippecanoe Middle School. She was known for her positive impact on students and athletes alike.
The school district released a statement describing Flynn as someone with a “beautiful smile, warmth, kindness and the positive impact she had on so many — both in and out of the classroom and on the court.”

Investigators from the Tipp City Police Department, along with agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, are meticulously collecting and processing evidence. The department is working closely with state investigators, describing the situation as “complex.”
