Tom Hanks Sets Sail Again: ‘Greyhound 2’ is Officially in Production
Apple Studios is moving full steam ahead with Greyhound 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their World War II hit starring Tom Hanks. Production is currently underway in Australia, promising a thrilling continuation of Captain Krause’s story.

From Normandy to the Pacific: A New Chapter for Captain Krause
Greyhound 2 will follow Captain Krause (Tom Hanks) and his crew as they navigate the treacherous waters from the beaches of Normandy to the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Their mission: to play a pivotal role in turning the tide of the war. The film promises to deliver the same heart-stopping tension and compelling narrative that captivated audiences in the first installment.
Tom Hanks himself penned the script for the sequel, ensuring a faithful and nuanced continuation of the story. Aaron Schneider is once again directing, with Gary Goetzman producing.
The Legacy of ‘Greyhound’
The original Greyhound, which premiered on Apple TV+ in July 2020, quickly became a streaming sensation, setting viewership records for the platform. The film also garnered critical acclaim, including an Oscar nomination for Best Sound. The story, inspired by the real events of the Battle of the Atlantic, depicted Hanks as a seasoned Navy veteran tasked with protecting a convoy of ships carrying vital supplies across the dangerous Atlantic during World War II.
