Both teams began their campaigns on February 7th, with Pakistan defeating the Netherlands by three wickets, while India staged a remarkable comeback against the USA. Despite being in a difficult position at 77/6, India secured a 29-run victory thanks to captain Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 84 and Mohammed Siraj’s impressive bowling figures of 3-29.

India followed up with a confident 93-run win against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, demonstrating improved performance. Pakistan also secured a victory in Colombo, defeating the USA by 32 runs.
