Infiniti Ignites Toronto Auto Show with Performance and Rugged SUV Concepts

Infiniti made a significant splash at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, unveiling three striking concept SUVs designed to revitalize the brand and showcase its commitment to performance and capability. The unveiling, held on the eve of Canada’s largest auto show on February 11, 2026, signals a new direction for the luxury automaker.

Introducing the QX65 Monograph: A Sleek and Stylish Mid-Size SUV

The QX65 Monograph concept is a two-row mid-size SUV that provides a glimpse into the design language of the upcoming production QX65. This all-new nameplate will be manufactured at Nissan’s Tennessee plant and is slated for release in early summer. Its fastback roofline creates a muscular yet elegant profile, while the interior promises a luxurious, spacious, and tech-forward experience. The QX65 will compete in a crowded segment alongside vehicles like the Genesis GV80 coupe and the Audi Q8.

QX80 Concepts: Track Spec and Terrain Spec – Performance and Adventure

Infiniti’s managing director for Canada, Ken Hearn, emphasized that the QX65 Monograph offers “luxury without excess, capability without compromise and a personality that breaks through a crowded field of lookalike competitors.” However, the brand recognizes the need to address recent sales challenges. While overall sales dipped nearly 15% in 2025 compared to 2024, the flagship QX80 SUV saw an 11% increase in sales, reaching 1,053 units.

To capitalize on this momentum and inject excitement into the lineup, Infiniti presented two distinct concepts based on the full-size QX80: the Track Spec and the Terrain Spec. These concepts aim to challenge perceptions of what a luxury SUV can be, offering both high performance and rugged capability.

QX80 Track Spec: Unleashing Raw Power

The QX80 Track Spec is a performance-focused machine, featuring aggressive styling cues such as distinct rocker panels, a bold front grille, quad rear exhausts, and functional air intakes. A striking matte metallic black-blue vinyl wrap and 24-inch wheels with Brembo brakes complete the look. Under the hood lies a twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine, now producing an impressive 650 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque – a 50% increase and the highest output in Infiniti’s history!

QX80 Terrain Spec: Ready for Any Adventure

For those seeking off-road adventures, the QX80 Terrain Spec is equipped with an elevated ride height, all-terrain tires, fender flares, a rooftop lightbar, and even a pop-up tent for camping. Protective shielding safeguards the undercarriage, while a satin dark basalt vinyl wrap adds to its rugged aesthetic. Infiniti’s new Invisible Hood View technology utilizes image processing to project a view of the terrain directly under the vehicle onto the centre display, aiding in navigation. A 3D Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection further enhances visibility and safety.

While the Track Spec and Terrain Spec concepts are visually close to production-ready, Infiniti has not yet announced a timeline for their potential release. However, these concepts demonstrate the brand’s commitment to innovation and its desire to broaden the appeal of the QX80.
