PSG Returns to Action: Summer Preparations Begin Against RCD Mallorca
The wait is finally over for football fans. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is officially launching its summer preparation this Wednesday with an exciting pre-season friendly against RCD Mallorca. This match marks the first step in the club’s journey toward another dominant season, serving as a crucial testing ground for tactical adjustments and player fitness.
Squad Rotations: What to Expect from Luis Enrique
Given the timing of the match, manager Luis Enrique is expected to field a heavily rotated squad. Several key internationals who participated in the recent World Cup—including stars like Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and João Neves—have only recently returned to training. Consequently, they may see limited minutes or be left out entirely to avoid injury risks.
This opens the door for emerging talents and players who had limited playing time last season. Keep an eye on Dro Fernández and Quentin Ndjantou, who are tipped to start and showcase their abilities to the coaching staff.
RCD Mallorca: Hunting for a Prestige Victory
On the other side of the pitch, RCD Mallorca enters this clash with a point to prove. After a challenging previous season that saw them finish 18th in La Liga and suffer relegation, the Balearic club is now preparing for life in Liga 2.
Mallorca arrives at this match in excellent form, looking to maintain a perfect pre-season record. They have already secured two convincing victories:
- n
- Mallorca 3-0 Al-Fateh
- Mallorca 4-2 Al-Ittihad
A win against a powerhouse like Paris Saint-Germain would provide a massive confidence boost for the team as they prepare for their upcoming league campaign.
Match Outlook: Development vs. Momentum
While PSG focuses on conditioning and integrating young players into the system, Mallorca is playing for pride and momentum. For PSG fans, the interest lies in seeing how the “new-look” squad gels under Enrique’s philosophy. For Mallorca, it’s a chance to prove they can still compete with Europe’s elite.
