After being named an All-Star for the second time in his career, Suárez suffered a left groin strain during his start on July 5. “If we can get Ranger the days he needs, while sliding him behind Patrick Sandoval and Sonny Gray without disrupting the flow, it’s a win,” noted manager Chad Tracy. “It also gives guys like Tolle and Jake Bennett an extra break, which is beneficial for their development.”
