This will bring increased cloud cover to areas from Taoyuan northward and across the eastern half of Taiwan. Expect cloudy skies with intermittent showers in Keelung, the North Coast, eastern regions, and the Hengchun Peninsula.

Central and southern Taiwan, along with Taitung, will enjoy warmer temperatures of 24°C to 27°C.

Until Friday, high-altitude areas will remain cold overnight and in the early morning. Be cautious of icy and slippery road conditions if driving or hiking. Farmers with crops in high-altitude regions should take precautions against frost damage.
Strengthening northeasterly winds mean there’s a chance of average winds exceeding 6 Beaufort (approximately 22 mph) with gusts up to 8 Beaufort (approximately 30 mph) along the coasts of Taoyuan to Tainan, Taitung County (including Lanyu and Green Island), the Hengchun Peninsula, Penghu, and Matsu. Exercise caution when participating in coastal activities.
